The Drone Critical Communications (DroC2om) project targets the datalink of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), aiming for the integration of drones into civil airspace, i.e. enabling the sharing of the airspace between manned and unmanned systems.

The DroC2om project will design and evaluate an integrated cellular-satellite system architecture for datalinks, so that Command and Control (C2) information can be reliably transferred in support of functions and specific procedures for airspace access that rely on a high level of digitalization and automation.
